Trade Returns Policy
All returns require prior permission. Customers may return most new and
unopened items in their original condition within 30 days of invoice for
full refund. Retail and distributor accounts must return within 90 days of
invoice.
Returns must include account number, invoice number, and date of purchase.
Customer pays return shipping fees.
SVS Press will gladly ship a replacement and reimburse return postage for
defective, incorrect, or short shipped items. Return postage is reimbursed
at USPS book rate.
No credit is given for items damaged by the shipping agent. If a carton
arrives damaged, the customer should refuse shipment. If an item is
received damaged, the customer must report it immediately to the shipper.
Packaging material must be retained for inspection to receive credit or
replacement.
A 50% restock fee may apply when ten (10) or more items of an order are
returned.
Academic Examination/Desk Copy Policy
We encourage professors to examine St Vladimir's Seminary Press titles for use as required or supplementary course textbooks. All requests must include the name and title of the professor(s) teaching the course, the name of the institution, the SVS Press title(s), the name of the course for which each title is being considered, and anticipated enrollment for each course. One examination copy may be requested per professor per course, regardless of the number of semesters the course is taught. SVS reserves the right to refuse an examination copy. The examination copy becomes your free desk copy if the title is adopted for classroom use. If not adopted, the examination copy may be returned for full credit or purchased at 50% off the retail price (plus shipping charges). An invoice is included with each examination copy you request and may be used to return payment for texts not adopted, which you elect to keep for personal use. A book is considered adopted if it is a required course text, the students in the course number five or more, and you notify us of the title adoption by faxing us on your institution's letterhead.
